Simone Alberghini - Fabrizio Vingradito
Italian bass-baritone Simone Alberghini, the 1994 Operalia Grand Prize winner,
has appeared in opera houses at the highest level world-wide since the beginning
of his career. Mr. Alberghini regularly collaborates with internationally
renowned conductors such as Alberto Zedda, Vladimir Jurowski, Riccardo Chailly,
Zubin Mehta, Andrew Davis, Gianandrea Noseda, Seiji Osawa, Maurizio Benini,
Michele Mariotti, Renato Palumbo, Emmanuel Villaume, Nicola Luisotti, Eduardo
Muller and Teodor Currentzis.
Simone Alberghini recently performed: Guillaume Tell at the Rossini Opera
Festival and at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Mariotti conducting and Vick
directing; Donizetti’s Il furioso all’ isola di San Domingo at the
Donizetti Musica Festival in Bergamo and in Savona, Modena, Ravenna and
Piacenza; L’Elisir d’Amore (Belcore) in Washington; Anna Bolena
(Enrico VIII) at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow; Così fan tutte (Guglielmo)
in Bologna; Don Giovanni (title role) at the Perm State Opera under
Teodor Currentzis; La Bohème (Marcello) in Tenerife; Les Contes
d’Hoffmann in Piacenza, Modena and Reggio Emilia; La Cenerentola (Dandini)
in Washington, Naples and in Göteborg; Mozart’s Requiem in Turin with the
Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai; Donizetti’s Requiem with the
Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mr. Alberghini starred in the Rada Film opera movie La Cenerentola directed
by Carlo Verdone and conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti, which has been telecast
worldwide.
Future
plans include: La Bohème (Marcello) in Palermo; Così fan tutte (Guglielmo)
in Florence; Il Turco in Italia (Selim) in Piacenza and Ravenna;Carmen in
Bologna; Le Nozze di Figaro (Conte d’Almaviva) in Naples; La fille du
régiment (Sulpice) in Barcelona; he will also make his debut as Conte di
Luna in Il trovatore in Tenerife.

Alessandro Carletti - lighting designer
Born in Rome, he studied photography and painting through which he very soon
discovered his passion for lighting design. In the late 90s he started working
at the Rossini Opera Festival where he consolidated his experience in opera
productions. With director Damiano Michieletto he started collaborating in 2008
in Lugo on Jackie’O, then at Teatro San Carlo in Naples for Die
Entführung aus dem Serail, and at Rossini Opera Festival he created lighting
design for La Scala di Seta and in 2010 Sigismondo. Furthermore,
in 2011 they continued their collaboration in Valencia on Elisir d’amore, at
the Teatro Massimo di Palermo Greek Passion and Così fan tutte at
the New National Theatre Tokyo.
He worked regularly with directors such as Daniele Abbado, Francesco Micheli,
Henning Brockhaus, Pippo Delbono, Franco Ripa di Meana, Yannis Kokkos and
others.
Recent works include: Il Trittico, Le Nozze di Figaro (Theater an
der Wien), Don Carlos (Wiener Staatsoper), Cavalleria Rusticana (Teatro
San Carlo, Naples), Nabucco and Guillaume Tell(Royal Opera House
Covent Garden), Ballo in Maschera (Teatro La Scala) and many others,
while his next projects include L’Elisir d’amore in Brussels; Nabucco
at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Valencia; Die Zauberflöte at the La
Fenice in Venice; La Scala di Seta at the OperaLombardia and in Liège;
Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci and Nabucco at the RHO
Covent Garden in London; Otello at the Theater an der Wien;
Dreigroschenoper at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan; Cendrillon at the
Komische Oper Berlin; Samson et Dalila at the
Opera de Paris, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci in Sydney;
Falstaff at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Il Trovatore at the
Staatsoper in Wien; Il Viaggio a Reims at the Royal Opera Copenhagen.
